A few tips from Dr. Prasad of Acuveda to boost your immunity:

  1. Eat well - fresh, warm, boiled/steamed food rich in vegetables. Include fresh fruits that are sweet and fully ripe.

  2. Sleep for a minimum of 8 hours (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and definitely do not stay up late after 11 p.m. to avoid pitta increase).

  3. Drink hot water with half a teaspoonful of organic turmeric powder in it first thing in the morning.

  4. Do deep breathing for 10-15 minutes a day and increase your lung capacity.

  5. Do regular yoga (sun-salutations) and keep yourself physically active. Get some Sun and take walks in your neighborhood.
